The article discusses the problem of using audiovisual visibility in the lessons of Russian as a foreign language in a military engineering university. The authors analyzed domestic and foreign theoretical sources on this issue. The principles of selection of audio-/video materials, tasks and methods of working with them are described, in accordance with communicative and professional competence. The main requirements for video materials are listed, under which the learning process will be successful. The article suggests assignments to a video film when working with foreign military personnel, and justifies the purpose of its use. In conclusion, the advantages of attracting audiovisual visibilities is mentioned.
