Fuller W.R. FORTRAN programming. A supplement for calculus courses

Springer, 1977. — 145 p.The author's purpose in writing this book was to emphasize the learning of calculus while learning enough about computing to facilitate the learning of calculus. It is recognized that it is not the purpose of courses where this book is used to develop programmers. The organization of material (and exclusions) is influenced by this point of view. However, the FORTRAN material which is included is adequate for most scientific work. Where there is more to learn, it is indicated through footnotes and other references. It is the author's opinion that students who master this text will not require another introductory programming course before embarking on the further study of the computer sciences.
This book may be used as a companion for almost any calculus text. It may also be used by itself in a companion course of one semester length for students who have completed one or two semesters of calculus.
