Ana Leira Carnero is an Argentine-Spanish composer. Her piano lessons started at age 7. As a teen she was a student of the notable teacher Ana Litowsky-Grunwald, becoming a skilled pianist. At age 15 she was admitted to advanced courses (harmony, cont. style, choral conducting, history of music, etc.) at the National Conservatory in Buenos Aires, where she graduated as Professor. Afterward she was selected by the award-winning pianist Aldo Antognazzi for an Improvement Training. Through separate studies she learned composition and orchestration. Today she is a composer of multiple styles, from neobaroque to avantgarde, from jazz to folk music. Her works were performed in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Netherlands, Spain and US.
