Remo Pignoni (1915-1988) was an Argentine Composer. He studied with the Italian teacher Luis Ricci. Pignoni is closely linked to the city of Rafaela, where he spent his entire life; composed the anthem of the city, "City of Rafaela" with lyrics by the poet Mario Vecchioli, the Anthem of the Adult Schools with lyrics by Alfonsina Storni and the Albiceleste sports march of the Rafaela Athletic Club, the Municipal School of Music is baptized with its name and even in 1991 the elected mayor of the city had used his Hueya "Por el sur" as a sound column for his electoral campaign. In 1998 the Municipal Council of Rafaela approved Ordinance No. 3013 that declared the month May of each year of cultural and educational interest to spread the life and work of Remo Pignoni.
