Branco Luiz de Freitas. Sonatina para piano

Lisboa: Sassetti&Ca Editores, 1925. — 7 p.Luiz de Freitas Branco (1899-1959) was one of the most important Portuguese composers. I am not sure when he composed this perky little Sonatina, which I recorded back in september 2011. This Sonatina is easy to play, except from a couple of bars in the 3rd movement which are maddeningly hard (in the same way Beethoven sometimes throws you off-balance with a couple of fiendish bars) and still sound a little strained despite the endless practicing.
